    I Love You, Man: Taulia Lave Talks Impact Of Ron McBride, Budding Country Music Career

    Crimson Corner proudly brought in former Utah football middle linebacker Taulia Lave (1995-2000) to discuss with Utah Utes Insider Michelle Bodkin his time at Utah and a budding country music career. 

    Lave described his time with former Utah football head coach Ron McBride, his wife, Vicky, as well as watching then defensive coordinator Kyle Whittingham develop into the force he currently is as head coach of the Utes. Lave then dived into his continued relationship with all three and what they have meant to all of the players they've encountered over the years.

    From there, Michelle and Lave got into his growing career as a country music artist, his recent visit to Nashville, Tennessee to record his first album, and getting to open for the Ron McBride Benefit Concert taking place on June 22.

    The show closed on a very emotional note as Lave descibed what it means to be able to give back to McBride after all the love he has shared not only with Lave, but every person he's come in contact with.

    Utah Center Jaren Kump Excited For 'Rising Stars' Football Camp

    Utah quarterback Cam Rising is hosting a football camp from June 13-14 and has enlisted the help of several of his teammates to run it.

    Former Herriman High star and current center Jaren Kump joined Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin to talk up the camp and give some insight into how the offseason is going so far for Utah football.

    Kump dives into how the upcoming "Rising Stars" camp is a reflection of Rising's leadership with the Utes and how every participant from the team is donating their NIL to help out For The Kids and Herriman Ute Conference Football. 

    Additionally, Kump reveals the team is borrowing the Utah equipment truck and have a goal to fill it with food that will also be donated to For The Kids. Despite the fact that camp spots are full, Kump hopes fans will still come out to Herriman High from June 13-14 to help fill the truck and possibly win some prizes.

    Former, Current Utah Athletes Prepare For Camp At Ute Reservation

    Repeat guest and founder of Athletes For Life, Hank Mondaca, along with Crimson Collective Director of Development, Drew Watson, join host Michelle Bodkin to discuss joining forces for year two of the Ute Reservation football camp.

    Watson talks about how the Crimson Collective has done in year one of their launch, goals for the upcoming competitive season, and what it means to add a charity to their roster that deals specifically with the Ute Tribe. 

    Mondaca then goes into detail about plans for year two of the Athletes For Life camp, how the dynamic changes not just having former Utah athletes as coaches, but current players too, and the hopes he has for further building the bridge between the athletes that wear the Drum and Feather and the Ute Tribe they represent.

    Both Watson and Mondaca wrap up by giving details on how fans can get involved with the Crimson Collective and Athletes For Life.

    A Deep Dive Into The Ute Tribe With Cameron Cuch

    SALT LAKE CITY - Utah football will be holding their annual "Ute Proud" game against Cal on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Just in time, Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin sat down with Ute Tribe member Cameron Cuch to discuss the relationship between the University of Utah and Ute Tribe. 

    The pair discusses the rich Ute Tribe history, the evolution of the relationship between the university and tribe, the halftime performance, how the relationship between the Utes and Utah can continue to grow, and much more.

    Lauvale & Sarah Sape, Kawika Casco Spread Love To Maui

    On this very special edition of the Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin invites former Utah football players Lauvale Sape and Kawika Casco along with Sape's wife Sarah to talk about the devastation from the Maui fire and what they are doing to help.

    The Sapes are using their Sape Foundation to help raise funds for the island of Maui where they and Casco are from. Casco who works for the Maui Fire Department describes his experience trying to save lives as he watched his home burn up.

    All three give a heartfelt plea to help them raise funds that will be used for recovery in Maui as well as a big thank you to their Utah Athletics Ohana. Make sure to look for Lauvale, Sarah and Kawika at Thursday's opener against Florida during the first quarter for more information.

    Lynne Roberts On Asking For Help, Growing Utah Women's Basketball

    This week's Crimson Corner features head Utah women's basketball coach Lynne Roberts. Host Michelle Bodkin askes Roberts about the team's recent successes and what is next. The pair go into the roster both returning and new while taking a look at a memorable moment from the Utes' recent Sweet 16 trip.

    Michelle and Roberts then turn the conversation to asking for help. Roberts goes into detail about the advice she got from Stanford's Tara VanDerveer and the input she received from various other Pac-12 women's coaches in improving the product she puts out on the floor at Utah. Finally, Roberts discusses picking Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham's brain along with cues she's taken on team branding from the Red Rocks.

    A Trip Down College Memory Lane With Utah Safety Robert "RoJo" Johnson

    Crimson Corner returns with the first student-athlete host Michelle Bodkin ever got to know well and ultimately led her to covering sports in Utah safety Robert "RoJo" Johnson. Michelle and Johnson take a trip down memory lane to their criminology class in 2009 shortly after the Utes' Sugar Bowl victory.

    The duo discusses the 2008 BCS Busters' upcoming induction into the Crimson Club Hall of Fame, how that team has remained close nearly 15 years later, and what it means knowing their success helped launch Utah's football's tremendous growth over the past 13 seasons in the Pac-12. 

    RoJo and Michelle then turn to the current state of affairs in college football discussing NIL, how Utah is managing it thus far, and why the coaching stability that head coach Kyle Whittingham has provided has allowed the program to flourish. Finally, the two get into what Johnson has been up lately including a new job at the University of Utah, running youth football camps, and talking about social health with other former Utes David Kozlowski and Kenneth Scott.

    Former Utah Football Player, Coach, Steve F. Hallsey Discusses Career, Athletes For Life

    Crimson Corner resumes with host and KSL Sports Utes Insider Michelle Bodkin welcoming in former Utah football star and defensive coordinator Steve F. Hallsey. 

    Hallsey played for the Utes in the mid-70's before being named linebackers coach and defensive coordinator immediately after graduating. He discusses the challenges he faced as a young coordinator, the similarities between himself and Brian Johnson, how former BYU and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young shaped his career trajectory and much more.

    Hallsey then goes into the experience of being invited by his former players to help participate in Athletes For Life's football camp on the Uintah-Ouray Ute Reservation and the importance of giving the reservation kids more opportunities to see what is possible in life.

    This week's Crimson Corner episode aptly revolves around the story of the Pac-12 and their on-going media rights negotiations with Pac-12 Reporter John Canzano. Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin askes Canzano several questions regarding how the Pac-12 got where they are, mistakes that have been made by the conference, what the recent Grant of Rights announcement means in relation to getting a media deal done and much more.

    Hank Mondaca, Athletes For Life Bring Joy Of Sports To Ute/Lakota Reservations

    Former Utah football punter Hank Mondaca joins Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin to talk about his charitable organization, Athletes For Life. Mondaca, along with a crew of other former Utah athletes that include Dave Culity, Jeff Reyes, and Lisa Mitzel have teamed up to help spread the joy of sports to the Lakota and now Ute Reservations.

    Mondaca goes over his first experiences running a camp at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, how he's used his Utah network to help grow his foundation, and his excitement about bringing his camp to the Ute Tribe for the first time this summer with the help of Utah football.

    Former Utah Football Wide Receiver David Kozlowski Fights For Better Social Health

    Crimson Corner is back and ready to tell the stories about Utah Athletics you've never heard before. In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month, host Michelle Bodkin invited former Utah wide receiver turned Family and Marriage Therapist, David Kozlowski to talk about his work with Quit Trip'n, and OG Therapy in an effort to improve the social health and well-being of the Salt Lake Community.

    Kozlowski also describes his life experiences that led him to become a therapist, and how he's using his connections with Utah football to encourage these meaningful discussions.

    Let Her Light Shine: Remembering Lauren McCluskey With Her Mother Jill

    On this special edition episode of Crimson Corner, host Michelle Bodkin brings on Jill McCluskey to talk about her daughter, Lauren McCluskey, who was murdered on the University of Utah campus on October 22, 2018, by an estranged boyfriend. The story created media waves and highlighted how college campuses lacked the knowledge and training on how to handle dating violence and stalking amongst their students. 

    Since Lauren's tragic death, Jill has been on a mission to make sure her daughter's light still shines by helping others in similar situations. The Lauren McCluskey Foundation was put into place to raise awareness for and come up with better policy to protect students on college campuses who might find themselves in an abusive situation. Lauren's Promise was also created in an attempt to make others aware of how common dating violence and stalking is, and to listen if someone comes forward asking for help.

    Crimson Corner host and Utah Utes Insider for KSL Sports Michelle Bodkin brings on former NFL Scout and Executive Director of the Senior Bowl Jim Nagy on to discuss potential 2023 NFL prospects on the 2022 Utah football team.     Remembering Ty Jordan And Aaron Lowe With USC Running Back Coach Kiel McDonald

    In this very special episode of Crimson Corner, host Michelle Bodkin talks with former Utah running back coach and current USC running back coach Kiel McDonald about Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe.     We are now four weeks into the college football season which means it is time to start breaking down the Pac-12 matchups that will determine Utah's fate for the 2022 season.     Former Utah wide receiver Kenneth Scott converses with Crimson Corner host Michelle Bodkin on a number of topics including his upcoming Ted Talk in October.     Talking "22 Kings" With Utah Football Super Fan, Ryan Kirkpatrick

    Host of Crimson Corner, Michelle Bodkin, chops it up with Utah football super fan, Ryan Kirkpatrick about his latest project paying homage to the legacy of Ty Jordan, Aaron Lowe and '21 football season. Kirkpatrick curated an entire song, "22 Kings", in and effort to keep the spirit of what it means to be "22% Better" alive in 2022. The song will be released August 26 just before the football season officially starts. With Kirkpatrick's permission, Crimson Corner will be using the wordless version of "22 Kings" as the intro and outro throughout the summer as a teaser until it is officially released. 

    In addition to "22 Kings", Bodkin and Kirkpatrick discuss his efforts to work with the university to make Saturday's an experience outside of just the game. Kirkpatrick hosts a live podcast/tailgate party, Block Party U, as well as his charity, Sunday Supper that started with Nick Ford and Stevenson Sylvester, but has since grown into something much bigger.
