BYU basketball star freshman AJ Dybantsa turned 19 years old on Thursday. 

The perfect birthday gift this weekend would be a win over Kansas in historic Allen Fieldhouse.

Dybantsa and BYU will be looking for that win this weekend, and they will have to do it against KU star Darryn Peterson, who remains on pace to play this Saturday, after suffering an ankle injury.

The 2026 BYU football schedule is out. Big 12 released all 16 of the schedules for its football teams to build the anticipation for next season.

BYU's schedule features seven home games that include a Big 12 opening matchup against Arizona.

BYU football picked up a pair of linebackers out of the Transfer Portal in Cal's Cade Uluave and Jake Clifton from Kansas State.

Uluave had interest from programs such as Michigan and Texas. He's ranked as the No. 1 LB transfer in the portal for the 2026 cycle.

Clifton is a returned missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, after serving for the past two years, following two years of playing with the Kansas State football program.

On December 19, ten years ago, BYU announced that Kalani Sitake was the new head coach of the BYU football program.

Sitake has experienced many twists and turns during his head coaching tenure, but after a decade on the job, he has never shied away from being bold. Now he has BYU set for potentially greater heights with his new long-term extension.

KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper shared his postgame takeaways from Cincinnati as the Cougars showed their toughness on the ground in the win.

LJ Martin rushed for a career high 222 yards and also had 44 receiving yards in the win.

He's the first BYU player since Tyler Allgeier in 2021 to rush for more than 200 yards on the ground.

BYU football had its most complete performance of the 2025 season on Saturday night, defeating the TCU Horned Frogs, 44-13.

The Cougars were impressive after bouncing back from a blowout loss to Texas Tech last week in Lubbock. BYU improved to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in Big 12 play.
