In honor of BYU's 100th season, KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper caught up with legendary BYU football players to reflect on what the program means to them.

This interview is a conversation with Heisman Trophy winning QB Ty Detmer.

In honor of the 100th season of BYU football, KSL Sports BYU Insider caught up with legendary BYU players, such as Doak Walker Award-winning running back Luke Staley.

In honor of the 100th season of BYU Football, KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper caught up with some of the greatest players in program history.

During this episode, he spoke with BYU DL Chris Hoke and reflected on his time playing for the Cougars and what it was like to play for LaVell Edwards.

To celebrate BYU's 100th season, KSL Sports BYU Insider caught up with legendary players such as running back Jeff Blanc from the 1974 team that played in BYU football's first-ever bowl game.

BYU adopts the radical idea to go independent, and chases the dream of entering the Big 12 Conference. Kalani Sitake assumes leadership and steers the Cougars through a pandemic and the rocky quest for Power 5 status.

LaVell Edwards was no ordinary football coach. He was soft spoken, humorous and humane, and a man of deep faith. As a coach and as a man, he was a saint. His legacy to treat the game differently – as well as the people who play it – lives on.

On October 7th, 1922, BYU played its first official football game. The rules were brutal, there was no protective equipment, and the field was covered in rocks. The Cougars were demolished. For the first 50 years, the Cougars had to scratch and claw their way toward respectability.
